Auto & Precision Manufacturing Cluster
Auto & Precision Manufacturing Cluster
The journey begins in Mumbai with foundational seminars on manufacturing systems, supply-chain literacy, and industrial safety. Students are introduced to ecosystem mapping tools and cluster theory before transitioning into the Pune automotive corridor — one of India’s most significant manufacturing hubs.
Through factory site visits (Tier-1 suppliers and MSMEs), quality systems workshops, lean manufacturing simulations, sustainability audits, and dialogues with production engineers and operations managers, students study real competitiveness constraints.
The final phase in Delhi connects field insight to industrial policy architecture, including Make in India and PLI mechanisms, enabling students to link factory realities to mission-scale strategy.
Students will:
-
Diagnose cluster competitiveness using ecosystem mapping frameworks.
-
Interpret quality standards, supplier dependencies, and logistics constraints.
-
Analyze sustainability trade-offs (energy, waste, water use).
-
Evaluate labor systems and productivity dynamics.
-
Produce a comprehensive Cluster Competitiveness Dossier integrating policy and production evidence.
